ABOUT
THE PEARL STREET BAND
The Fort Myers Beach based Pearl Street band features singer/song
writers Mike McMillan, Bill Veach & Bob Williams with Clark Johnson on bass. This is a collection of twelve of our favorite original songs.
Songs about love, cheating, places we've been. people we met, and a dog named Arthur. You can find us playing at beach & charity events, local cafes, & an ice cream shop, but always for the fun of it.
Bill Veach writes songs, sings, plays guitar,
& percussion. He was a drummer in a rock band
in college, but guitars are easier to move and make for better neighbors, so he spent $100 of his beer money on a flame red acoustic guitar. His songs are about his experiences, travel, love, loss and some characters he has met on his journey - real or imagined. Bill has two solo CDs out, "backpacking around the world" (2019) and "Jimmy" (2020).
Bob Williams writes songs, sings and plays guitar. Bob's songs are personal, irreverent, funny, sad, and most importantly, true to his heart. With encouragement from family and friends, he produced and eleased two CDs, "No Apologies" (2015) and "Ain't Sorry Yet" (2018), and is working on another.

Mike McMillan writes songs, sings and plays rhythm & lead guitar. Many different genres have influenced his original compositions, but he considers himself a student of the Blues. He likes those old songs about cheating, drinking, cheating while drinking, because that is what those old songs are about. His idea of a good time is time with a good guitar. And a good dog. By his side
Clark Johnson is our bass player. You could argue that we were not a band until we nabbed Clark. He is a multi-instrumentalist, but we rarely let him put down his bass. He has played in bands since he was shorter than a fender jazz bass. Clark plays with various bands in Southwest Florida and New England, because he can.

The Pearl Street Band was started by Mike and Bob and named after a street on Fort Myers Beach, Florida where they practiced. Bill sat in a couple of times at an ice cream shop gig and then just refused to leave. We cashed in some hard earned Karma for Clark to complete the round up. We play at charity events and at a couple of local places on Fort Mers Beach. Look for us at Truly Scrumptious on Weds Nights during season, and at Tuckaway Cafe on occasion.
